Conceptualized & created in 1949 by Italo Zoffoli, the head of a family of expert craftsmen in Italy, Zoffoli originally became famous for its expert creation of miniatures, and its excellence in cartography. Italian media came to notice the superior craftsmanship of the Zoffoli product line in 1963, and it wasn't long after that the wonderful world globe designs became major focal points of some of Italy's most prestigious shops in Milan, Turin, Florence and Naples.
With the growing success created by the excellent product line and media exposure, the company continued to grow. Italo's sons soon took over operations of the company, which in turn expanded into more robust manufacturing operations, yet while still retaining the same eye to detail and passion as Italo's original creations.
Since its very beginning over 60 years ago, Zoffoli has dedicated particular attention to the choice and processing of its materials, so as to offer globes for a discerning market, where customers are attentive to detail and fascinated by journeys, whether real or imaginary.
There are craftsmen in our territory who, year after year, become synonyms of what they produce. With their patience and knowledge, these men work learning from the experience of their fathers and, in turn, transmit their knowledge to their sons. Generation after generation, memories and suggestions are handed down making our products richer and full of charm. Charm is the element of distinction of our products and thus they are appreciated all around the world. Sacrifice and hard work are the key elements in guaranteeing such result. But nothing can be achieved without a sense of passion. It is this combination that makes our products unique. We firmly believe in our ability to stimulate the desire to discover and explore every corner of the earth, by simply tracing a line with a fingertip or with a glance. The world, always available, always on hand.
Zoffoli's dream has always been to combine the ancient craft of globe-making with the latest technological solutions, combining new materials with traditional construction methods. We feel that Zoffoli has succeeded in its aim -- to create a modern version of the geographical globe that remains true to the concept of elegance and excellence in a classical crafted object.
