This small desktop globe is presented in the same manner as the French 18th century library originals. Featuring cartography devised by Robert de Vaugondy, cartographer to King Louis the XV. Printed from a minimlist color palette of cream and sepia, this classic globe originally published in the 18th century still provides a crisp contemporary appearance.
The globe's stand is carved from solid rosewood and features a lustrious hand finish. The solid wood base has been polished, distressed and purposefully given an aged effect. Solid brass globe ball support arm and finial are hand polished to convey the aged look of an original antique.
The compact size of this globe makes it a perfect desk piece or allows it to easily fit on your home or office bookshelf.
